Lactose intolerance is when a person has symptoms due to a decreased ability to digest lactose, a sugar found in dairy products. It is to not be confused with milk allergy which can result in severe symptoms, including anaphylaxis. The most common symptoms of lactose sensitivity are stomach pain, bloating, diarrhea, constipation, gas, nausea, and vomiting. There have been reports of other symptoms, such as headaches, fatigue, and eczema, but these are quite rare.
